Aloha!, July was Hanykyu month. Our biggest event so far this year has been the Hawaiian fair at the Umeda Hankyu department store in Osaka. We were weeks in preparation for weeks before actually going from Yokohama to Osaka in the south of Japan. (http://www.hankyu-dept.co.jp/fl/english/index.html )
It was fun to meet new people who enjoy Hawaiian culture and products. Our honey was a hit and we sold every bottle by last day of the Hawaiian Festival. The unique flavors of our honey spoke for themselves. We are thrilled that our honey was so well received.
This year we presented three honeys. Ohia-Lehua, Kukui and Christmas berry. Each were well received. The Lehua has a gentle floral aroma and warm butterscotch undertones. Kukui is unique in it’s nutty slightly salty flavor and floral finish. This year’s Christmas berry is rich with fruity undertones of brown sugar and molasses.
Next year we are looking forward to presenting our new Flavor of honey, Kaua’i Tropics, at Hankyu Department store.
